I began painting in 1986 around age 12 and have been selling online since 1999. Fantasy, gothic, psychedelic,surreal and psychedelic themes dominate my subject matter,inspired by nature, 18th and 19th century gothic, supernatural and decadent literature, and horror films of the 1960s and 70s.
While witch and Halloween art have dominated my work since the early 2000s, I began with dragons and I still love them. My favorite artists, however are of the Surrealist and Symbolist eras, particularly female Surrealists like Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo and Kay Sage.
